Knowing and learning blog

Sunday evening's discussion was interesting as it gave us as a cohort, the space to discuss our perceptions of knowledge and learning as they stand at this point in time  in our studies. It was interesting to see how different members of our group in the various modules,  interpret them in relationship with and in the context of our practice and also of the way that they  manifest in our practice as well as in our own learning experiences,  as we go through the different phases of this course.

Many of us seemed to share this same understanding of the experience of learning, even within our own course and our own learning where from exposure to ideas and views presented in the literature that we came across whilst doing tasks set in the course , many of us seemed to share this acknowledgement and appreciation of this assimilation  within our practice and our views and many of us seemed to experience this sense of taking in of ideas, their application and regeneration of ourselves, of our views and as a result also of our practice.

Another point that comes to mind and that interested me was the part when we discussed frameworks, were we discussed the idea of frameworks as a means of opening communication and possibilities and growth rather than being constricting. During this part of the discussion I couldn't help but make the connection to syllabus, that though constricting to a certain extent, can also create many  possibilties of growth and learning and also freedom within its parametrs if approached in the right way.
